Skylift rental in Malaysia
A truck-mounted skylift is a boom platform fitted to a truck, used to raise people and tools to height without scaffolding. Common for signage, lighting, façade, tree and roadside work, and short-duration jobs at height.
When is a skylift the right choice?
A truck-mounted skylift suits work at height along a road, a building face or a row of poles, where the platform drives to each position. A skylift raises people and tools; it is not a crane. A boom lift replaces it on private ground where the truck cannot go, and a scissor lift replaces it for straight vertical work indoors.
What do you need to work out before you ask for a quote?
- The working height needed, which is the platform height plus the operator’s reach.
- The outreach from the truck to the work position.
- The number of people and the weight of tools and materials on the platform.
- Road or traffic arrangements if the truck parks on a public road.
What moves the price. A skylift quote moves with the working height class, the booking length, the distance to site and whether the operator is supplied. Short call-outs cost more per hour than a booked day.
Site and ground. The truck needs a firm, level standing area and a clear path for the boom between the truck and the work position.
Which mistakes cost the most when hiring a skylift?
- Booking by the nominal height and finding the outreach falls short.
- Overloading the platform with tools and materials.
- Parking on a road without checking the permit and traffic arrangements.
Ask every provider for the machine’s DOSH (JKKP) certificate or inspection record and a written quotation. Lifting machinery falls under the Factories and Machinery Act 1967.
