Guides
Before you request quotes
- Write down the load weight, the lift height and the distance from where the machine stands to where the load goes. Capacity falls as radius grows, so a provider needs all three.
- Check access: road width, overhead lines, ground strength and space for outriggers or tracks.
- Decide whether you need an operator and a lifting crew, or only the machine.
What to ask each provider
- The DOSH (JKKP) certificate of fitness for the specific machine, and its expiry.
- Who is the competent person for the lift and who is responsible for rigging.
- Insurance covering the machine and third-party damage.
- What the quote includes: operator, transport, fuel, minimum hours, overtime and waiting time.
Rental rates depend on all of the above, which is why this site does not publish prices. Get written quotations from at least two providers.
Equipment guides
Each equipment page explains what the machine is, where it is used and what to confirm: see all equipment types.
